Kranny and The Race

The annual under the sea race is one of the most awaited events in the life of young sea creatures wherein they can prove and show how strong and fast they are. The contestants are the greatest from their place. They compete but the record holder is still undefeated.
“Kranny!Kranny! Kranny!”, the crowd yells as the organizer gives Kranny the crab the trophy again.
He raises his pincers as a sign of victory. He feels proud as he touches the hard, golden trophy with engraved letters that state the word champion. He goes back to his village wherein all of the villagers congratulate him because of his victory again. He states the story over and over again in front of his friends and he is really fond of their reactions.
One day, as Kranny and his friends are enjoying in their game pincers wrestling, there is a creature that approach them.
“What are you doing?’, the lobster asked.
“We are having a game and it is called pincers wrestling.”,Kranny answered.
“Can I join your to game? I want to test if my strength is enough in order for me to join the annual under the water race to defeat that boastful record holder.”, the lobster said with plead and without knowing that the record holder that he is talking about is in front of him.
“Oh really? You want to defeat the fastest and the strongest sea creature in this sea? What is your name then challenger?”,Kranny said with a mocking tone.
“I’m Chropperthe lobster and I will prove to that record holder that through my will and strength I can defeat him”, Chropper stated with conviction and optimism.
Kranny allows Chropper to join in their game. He see that the lobster is stronger than him that’s why insecurity crawls into his whole being. He will not allow anyone to stole his title from him as the record holder. In his mind, if he cannot get the trophy in the upcoming annual under the sea race, neither Chropper can. He plans for something that is devilish so that the lobster cannot attend the event.
When the registration for the race is undergoing, Kranny’s evil plan is running inside his head. His friends will conspire with his plans and will help him in locking Chropper in his house when the race starts. He is very confident that his plans will be successful and he will still hold the title of being a record holder.
It is a fair weather and the rays of the sun strike the water of the sea which illuminate the entire sea and also under it. Kranny comes out from his house with a smile and feels the calm flow of the brackish water in his shell. It the day of the race, he is very confident that he will still get the trophy.
He calls his friends and reminds them about the plan. They all agree and assure him that Chopper will not make it to the race.
“You should not mess with this. This is the only way for me to have the trophy again.” Kranny stated to his friends.
“We will not mess this Kranny. We assure you that you will still be the record holder.”,Cricker the shrimp said with assurance.
The sand arena is full of sea creatures who want to witness the race. The crowd has their own bets and most of them screams for Kranny’s name. The noise of screaming his name is a pleasant sound to Kranny’s ears but the thought of his plans about Chropper will be unsuccessful filled his mind.
He disregards the negative thoughts in his mind and focuses in the race. As soon as the horn is blown, Kranny runs as fast as he can and passes through different obstacle course. The crowd cheers for him and it boost his confidence that he will win. His eyes are darted to the finish line but he is distracted to the creature who is in the finish line, it is Chropper. The smile on his face changed into an anxious one but he still runs fast and reach the finish line.
The crowd screams because Kranny wins again but they suddenly stop when the sound of Chropper’s slow claps fill the arena that is already holding the microphone.
“Congratulations Kranny for winning again because of your filthy and childish acts.’,Chropper exclaimed with sarcasm in the microphone.
The entire arena is filled with whispers and murmuring. Everybody is shocked by the revelation of Chropper and their happy faces turned to be disgusted because of what Kranny did in order for him to win.
The loud sound of the horn wakes Kranny up. He dreamed about his disgraceful action that leads him to lose his friends and the trust of the people around him.

Tenth Grade, A Moment to Ponder

My tenth grade life was one of a kind. At first I thought it would be hard as a rock but then it came out to be easy. I was a four consecutive times cream of the crop in our class.
